CORRECTIVE JAW SURGERY
Orthodontics treatment alone sometimes cannot fully correct a misaligned bite (known as malocclusion). This is often the result of a combination of misaligned teeth as well as a skeletal problem. The latter can only be corrected by what is known as orthognathic surgery. Another type of surgery is alveolar cleft surgery where bone grafting is needed to help with proper teeth eruption. The corrective jaw surgery is often a part of the total treatment in conjunction with your orthodontic treatment.
